Free CSV Diff — Added, Removed, Changed Rows
Free CSV diff. Compare two tables by key column in this tab — added, removed, and changed fields. Nothing is uploaded.
1 added, 1 removed, 1 changed, 0 same
| Kind | Key | Fields |
|---|---|---|
| changed | 1 | qty |
| removed | 2 | — |
| added | 3 | — |
How to use this tool
- Paste the older CSV on the left and the newer CSV on the right.
- Set the key column (id, email, sku…).
- Read added, removed, and changed rows.
Worked example
Left: id 1 Ada qty 2, id 2 Bob qty 3. Right: id 1 Ada qty 5, id 3 Cam qty 1. Result: 1 changed (qty), 2 removed, 3 added. Export JSON from the CSV → JSON page if you need objects instead of a table.
Frequently asked questions
- How are rows matched?
- By the key column you type (default: the first header). If a key is missing, the row index is used.
- Does it understand quoted commas?
- Yes. The same RFC 4180 parser as the CSV → JSON page.
- What is a “changed” row?
- The key exists on both sides and at least one other field differs. The Fields column lists which ones.
- Uploaded?
- No. Both tables stay in this tab.
