]
}How to use this tool
- Paste YAML from a compose file, workflow, or config.
- Copy the JSON.
- Validate it in the JSON validator if you need line numbers.
Worked example
The sample has a service name, replica count, env map, and a ports list. JSON output uses an object for env and an array for ports. Numbers stay numbers.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you support Kubernetes and GitHub Actions YAML?
- Yes for ordinary maps, lists, and scalars. Anchors and custom tags are passed through the YAML 1.2 parser.
- Is my manifest uploaded?
- No. Conversion runs in the browser with the yaml package.
- What about JSON to YAML?
- Use the JSON to YAML converter. Same engine, opposite direction.
- Will comments survive?
- Comments are not round-tripped into JSON. They disappear because JSON has no comment syntax.
- Can I convert a multi-document stream?
- Paste one document. Multi-doc --- separators should be split first.
