Free cron generator. Generate cron expressions for Unix, Quartz, and Kubernetes and preview the next runs. Runs in your browser.

How to use this tool
- Choose Unix, Kubernetes, or Quartz.
- Start from a preset such as weekdays at 09:00.
- Confirm the next five UTC instants.
- Copy the expression into the scheduler you actually use.
Dialect traps
Quartz uses ? for “no specific value” on day fields. Unix does not. Kubernetes CronJobs reject some Quartz extensions. If a schedule looks right in English but wrong in production, the dialect switch is usually why.
Frequently asked questions
- Unix vs Quartz vs Kubernetes?
- Unix and Kubernetes use five fields. Quartz adds seconds and an optional year, and numbers Sunday as 1. Kubernetes also needs spec.timeZone if you do not want the controller clock.
- Why are next runs in UTC?
- Cron daemons often run in UTC on servers. Previewing UTC avoids “it ran at 9 local on my laptop” mistakes.
- Can I generate a Quartz expression from a Unix one?
- Switch the dialect to Quartz. We prefix 0 for seconds.
- What does */15 * * * * mean?
- At minute 0, 15, 30, and 45 of every hour.
- Is this the same as crontab.guru?
- Same job, different page. This one also emits Quartz and Kubernetes notes.
