How to use this tool

Worked example
apple / banana / apple / Banana / pear with trim on and case-sensitive keeps four lines (Banana stays). Turn ignore-case on and Banana is dropped because apple already appeared. Pair with the word counter if you also need a count.
Frequently asked questions
- Which copy is kept?
- The first time a line appears. Later repeats are dropped.
- Can I ignore case?
- Yes. Then Apple and apple count as the same line; the first spelling is kept.
- Blank lines?
- Dropped by default. Tick Keep blank lines if you want the first empty line to stay.
- Is this a CSV diff?
- No. CSV diff compares two tables by key. This page is a single list.
