Report
ERROR row 4: Self-redirect (from equals to). ERROR row 6: Conflicts with row 5 (https://new.example/one). WARN row 2: Chain of 2 hops from https://old.example/blog. Point directly at the final URL. ERROR row 4: Redirect loop involving https://old.example/a.
How to use this tool
- Paste a CSV with from,to (header optional).
- Fix self-redirects, conflicting duplicates, and loops.
- Collapse chains so every source points at the final URL.
Worked example
/blog → /articles plus /articles → /posts is a two-hop chain — point /blog at /posts. After the map is clean, stamp lastmod on the surviving URLs with the sitemap lastmod helper or build a canonical with the canonical URL builder.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you fetch the live URLs?
- No. Paste a from,to CSV. We flag self-maps, duplicate sources, chains, and loops in this tab.
- Relative paths?
- Allowed, with a warning. Confirm the host on the server or CDN map.
- Why flatten chains?
- A→B→C wastes a hop and can drop link equity. Point A at C directly.
- Uploaded?
- No.
